Musiker aus Berlin

Dear unknown visitor,

I´ll try to present the main points of my homepage in English – which is not my native language, I hope it works...

I suppose that the contents of this site are mostly relevant to people living in the area of Berlin (Germany). If you are still interested, please read on.

My name is Matthias Loose, I´m 65 years old and I work as a bass guitar teacher at Musikschule City West and as a musician and composer (playing bass guitar and tenor sax with several bands here in Berlin).

At the music school, I offer a workshop besides teaching bass guitar:

A band called Groove Lab. The goal is to develop an understanding and (hopefully authentic) reproduction of funk music (70s/80s era).

Rehearsals are every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.; consistent attendance is obligatory. As with all band workshops at music schools, a certain amount of fluctuation is normal, so chances are that your instrument might be needed in the near future. Please call if you are interested. The workshop is free of charge. Do you have any questions, ideas, criticism? Please e-mail me (see below)...

You can also call me at the music school every Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m.: (030) 9029 179 07 (not during holidays) or send a fax to (030) 9029 155 11 (c/o Matthias Loose, we have many teachers).

By the way... if you like to listen to my music, you are very welcome.

Best regards,
Matthias

To the users of 'older' Yamaha mLAN hardware

If you are as bored as me by the everlasting driver problems, then perhaps you would like to read a text I wrote after finding a solution (for installation of the 01x desk under Windows 7, 32 bit version). Most of it is in German, but I supplied a short English version at the end. See the PDF.
